Tenemos un presidente indigno. Nunca fue el presidente de todos, sino de los suyos, de los que le adulan y le dan la razón. Todos los demás somos fachas, pertenecemos a la ultraderecha, somos manipuladores de opinión pública, mentirosos y buleros. Desde el Gobierno y desde la Moncloa ha hecho y dicho toda clase de improperios, ilegitimidades, barbaridades e indecencias. Ha mentido a la ciudadanía. Han saltado todas las líneas prohibidas por el respeto institucional, han insultado a todos los ciudadanos que no piensan como él, abusando de su posición política.

Escribo estas líneas cuando todavía está reciente la noticia del asesinato de Charlie Kirk en una Universidad de Utah. Ni tenía idea de su existencia. No conocía nada de este chaval hasta la noticia que ha dado la vuelta al ecosistema mediático. Sólo he podido comprobar como en redes sociales se ha justificado desde muchos comentarios el desenlace de este chico que deja huérfano a dos niños pequeños y una viuda jovencísima. No me interesa saber lo que decía, ni lo que pensaba, es que me da igual. Es que ningún pensamiento puede ser motivo para el asesinato. Y mucho menos pensar “que se lo ha buscado” como algunos han afirmado. Estamos en el siglo XXI y pensar distinto no puede ser causa para matar a nadie.

A constitutional and democratic model must ensure the guarantee of Fundamental Rights and if these are limited, due to collision with other fundamental rights, the restrictions must be effective and last as little time as possible. That is precisely what differentiates democratic models from authoritarian ones.
